read an article some time back abt how this cancer patient that is going to die soon got on with her marriage and died the day after..yet her husband didn't regretted marrying her despite knowing her days left is restricted

this got me thinking...

many a times in life, things came down to us that left us hanging there not knowing wad to do.
.
when recession first struck us last yr, many investors and pple who got retrenched complaint and whine abt how much they lost in their failed investments, and pushing the blames to their investors or even blaming the company for retrenching them despite the fact that the spent decades slogging hard for the company...
.
but didnt they realise a fact that how much they had learn, or how much they had earned in the decades they spent in the company, and as a matter of fact, if the company didnt retrenched them, maybe the company might not be able to handle the payroll and recession is taking a toll on its liquidity, the whole company might go bust and everyone, note, EVERYONE will lose their job...
.
analogy: we know that this basket is falling apart, we could remove some eggs from it, to lessen the weight so the basket can still withstand it, yet we chose to hold on to all the eggs, as a result, the basket gave way, and all eggs broke as a result...
.
so why bother to even whine and complain when u got retrenched due to recession?think of it this way, by getting retrenched, u saved the job of many others that might need it more den u do...

my week is spent tremendously well... work and slogged like a cow for the pass one week, partied hard like there's no tomorrow, eat like as though i had been starving for the past years. LOL!

Monday: played Mj after work with Alex n guys, and for the first time ever in my life, i lost $190 to Mr Vito... duh... LOL!

Tuesday was just another normal day at work, and i slept super early to make up for the lack of slp the past few weeks.

Wednesday: went to watch Slumdog Millionaire with Mike & XG, and it was really as good as how my friends describe it... worth watching a second or even third time... 2thumbs up!

Thursday: went drinking @ liquid with frens, and i realised i reali hate drinking now!

Fri: guess wad! i stayed home on a Fri night, watching tv, reading mag and slping at 12am plus :)

woke up real early today, say 8am... and i ate alot alot alot of stuff today, guess its another 2kg added, when i think back of wad i ate for the day, i had a shock!

I ate....

Bak Kut Teh, 4eggs, 6slices of bread with lots & lots of Nutella, 1packet of chips, 1packet of prawn crackers, TomYum Maggi Mee, Biscuits with milo, another packet of chips, an egg sandwich, mee goreng and porridge...

OMG!!!!! lol... guess its to make up for the meals i missed since Monday!!! hahahahah

my hand is aching now after 4 games of bowling............... with the good o'gang!

:)) now now, that's wad i call a fruitful week! totally rejuvenated... :)

PS: Guess my curse since Kesper's chalet came true once again! Liverpool won !!! weeeeee

- Friday night, went Liquid with Melvin and gang & to Dragonfly after that
- Sat night, went to watch Coming Soon ... its pretty scary, but kinda lame though.

- Sun, went Ikea in the noon and i finally bought the computer table i have been eyeing since last year. and its gonna get delivered on Thursday ! gonna spend the next few days packing up my room. had a filling dinner too, Nasi Lemak + 1 Egg Prata. lol

actually many interesting happened to me this few weeks, after the horror of the crow in head, rat in feet issue, i became ratiphobic (fear of rats), and crowaphobic (fear of crow). now i have been eating my lunch and suppers wearing socks knee-high and caps that covered my forehead...

just when i tot everything was over... today, an amzing thing happen...

Pw was calling Jeremy Andy Lau when she jokingly asked if she will get struck by lightning for telling lies, and suddenly i heard a loud crack beside me, i turned and to my horror, i saw PW's hair standing on ends and she became as black as charcoal, her words came true, got struck by lightning... and when she got over the electric shock, she lament about how she get strike and scolded the sky as she feels that lightning dun strike at the same place twice... and , i heard a loud crack again! and saw a 'Z' shaped light coming down, and once again, she was struck by lightning...!!!

nothing great happened this week, except getting my feet bitten by a rat and ended up in polyclinic to see a doc just to save the few dollars on A&E, and guess what! i tot getting bitten by a rat and it getting its teeth stucked on my feet for 1day is bad enough, until i saw a lady in the polyclinic while i was waiting for my queue number to be called, she had it worst den me...

SHE HAD A CROW STUCKED ON HER FOREHEAD!!!!

overheard her telling an uncle sitting next to her that, she was having her breakfast in a market, den halfway thru eating her delicious MIFEN, a crow flew straight into her head and got its beak stuck there. and like me, she wanted to save the additional cost of ambulance etc, she took a bus from the market to polyclinic, took a queue number and waited for her turn with the crow constantly flapping its wings during the duration of her wait.

i was actually feeding the rat stucked on my feet with some cheese i bought when i saw it, she was a brave lady, despite the fact that the crow was stucked on her forehead, she didn't cry or whined, she can even chat with the uncle sitting next to her, and playing with her PDA on the other hand.... i guess i have to take my hat off a heroine like her....

two thumbs up for u! the lady in polyclinic with queue number 87 with a crow on her forehead...

Oh yea, did i mention that i received my shipment of the Twillight SAGA. i was so excited that day when i saw a huge parcel in my room, and immediately i started reading it, and im now done with New Moon, and halfway thru Eclipse... :P

im sooo into vampires because of Twillight, gonna do some serious research on Vampires when i have the time n im gonna blog about it!

i wan a vampire because too...

i think that today is a day worth remembering...

for all my life i never had a sore eye before...
and yesterday night i was grumbling about how painful my left eye is and i dunno wad causes that... and this morning!!! a white colour pimple like thing grew on my upper eyelid...

I HAVE A SORE EYE....

TO: my sore eye.

thanks for being the first to arrive in my eye, i guess u must have been hibernating for 21 years before u decided to pop out from my upper eyelid causing me all these discomforts and blur vision... but however as i believe ur lifespan is very short. maybe only for 2-3 days? but not to worry, im going to cherish and love you these 2-3days you gonna be with me in my upper eyelid...

Maybe you couldn't be here long enough to see what im seeing everyday, but still, i hope u enjoyed my visions these 2-3 days u might be here...

Im already counting down to your departure...

But whatever that happens, i thank you for turning up and staying there in my upper eyelid these few days you are gonna be...

I wish that you will find a bigger eye hence a more comfortable eyelid after u leave me...

Twillight

Recently the Twillight Craze is on, everybody is talking about the movie, the novel etc, and just when i was thinking of buying the book, i found one! :))

finished reading the Twillight novel in 2 weeks spending about 3-4hours/day, and i must say, Stephanie Meyer is great! i was so hooked to the book that i can sleep late just to read a few pages more, and its so detailed that i could almost imagine every scene...

after finishing my Twillight, i decided to watch the Twillight movie. and to my dismay, the movie is such a DISAPPOINTMENT... everything seems so rushed, and there's no details at all... and everyone is harping on how handsome Edward Cullen is in the movie, but i prefer the one acting JASPER & CARLISLE instead... :P

and so to satisfy my desire for more... i ordered the TWILLIGHT SAGA(slipcased edition) on AMAZON. i regretted it as the shipping will take a freaking 1month.. and it causes me $82... :(

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is coming... it falls on the 26 & 27 of Jan, a Mon & Tues, that means i have a long weekend! but i'd rather it falls on a Thurs and Fri instead so i could enjoy myself more...

but wadever it is, CNY is always a favourite festive season of mine. because it would means money come rolling in!!!! Angpows! Winnings!(hopefully) Loads of delicacies!!

KENKO FISH SPA!

it was one fine working day when a group of us decided to watch [REC] after work, and the rest of them were staying OT so me and Tungtung decided to go walk ard, we went to try those 'UFO catcher' in Marina Square, and den headed to Kenko Fish Spa to try out the fish therapy...

the fishes there were huge, divided into different pond as the man describe that those fishes are different species... and there's one pond whereby the fish is as big as those fish u see in NASI LEMAK. NO JOKE!

the lucky us paid for half an hour, but i guessed the man forgot the time and we ended up sitting in there for 1hour!

it seems everytime im with Tungtung, lucky things happen!!!

PS: Kampong Fish Therapy is still better... but the relocated to 6th Ave, and it would be quite a hassle to travel all the way there.... grrr.

31st Oct 08... Halloween Night...

went ButterFactory with 14other frens and enjoyed ourselves over there with lotsa fun and drinks, but the queue there is horrendously long... and i swear nv to go back again... (Photos of Halloween night will be up soon when i trf the photos over)

Went straight home after Halloween Party around 4am in a drunken mode .. bathe and packed my luggage again and off i go to the airport to meet Xiuling... catching our flight at 6.30am...

Back in Singapore...

interesting things that happened in Bkk...

1) Checked out super late, and Hotel forgot to charged us an extra day as stated in T&C
2) When dining in Airport, they forgot to charged us for the sandwiches we order, and when i asked for the bill, the server gave me a weird look
3) Cab driver dumped us on the street and left without collecting money from us.

...A MEANINGFUL STORY...

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

Breathtaking HongKong

10.45am : Arrived in Hongkong with a bad headache. yes, i went drinking the night before and went airport straight to catch the flight. haha.

took a cab from the Airport to our hotel, Dorsett Seaview Hotel, located at Shanghai St, Yau Ma Tei... the cab ride was damn expensive. approx. HK$260, which is equivalent to S$60++. nv took such an expensve taxi before....

Arrived in hotel awhile later, took a bath & a short rest. and off we go.......... :)

Lan Kwai Fong is akin to Singapore's Clarke Quay/Boat Quay, except that it is much more crowded and fun! met some tourist there, two guys from US and a guy from Spain as well as a cute Pakistan. oh ya, and a idiotic China Guy that irritated me badly, luckily Sandy's there to protect me.

12.15pm, took the VERY expensive cab ride to Hongkong International Airport. BACK TO SG!!!

Sorta cannot bear to leave Hongkong, really did have lotsa fun and laughter over there.

went there with only one hand carry bag, and i came back with two big full luggage and two big hand carry. lol. SHOPPING POWER...

i enjoyed the shopping, but i m damn pissed due to my excess baggage, and ended up paying HKD90/kg, and.... its S$150++ paid. :(

My weekend was spent slacking around my house, played Mahjong on Fri night, slept thruout my Sat morning, and watched DVD til 4am in the morning and blog til now. lol... m gonna slp soon or i gonna turn into a scary PANDA. lol

PPS: Knocked into my office table on Thursday and gotten a big blue black on my thigh, everything was fine until i tried rubbing my blue black yesterday night to make it lighter and now, i cant even walk. m practically walking with a limp. :(

PPPS: i signed a Facial Package on impulse that cost a fucking $1400 as a birthday present this year for myself... :(

and so i believe, feelings/emotions we go through everyday is the most complex issue unable to be understood, at one moment we can be happy and elated, yet the other moment, we can be full of hatred for someone. some can seems so compassionate at one time, yet totally devoid of feelings at the other....

There could be thousands/millions/billions/trillions of emotional changes going on in one's thought everyday.

Only when come one day, we could really truthfully treat people around us, only den, the complexity of human emotions could be truly understood......

If Only We Could Turn Back Time.....

many a time, people would lament about how nice it would be if one could turn back time...

just what do we really think we can achieve even if we really could turn back time and reverse all wrongs.. can we be sure we wouldn't commit the same mistakes we once did? or can we be so sure our life would be a complete one?

well. let's say we could turn back time....
for example...

let's first list out the wrong some people might have gone thru...

* get in fights
* picked up smoking
* skip classes
* scored badly in exams
* mix with bad company
* got charged
* probation for a year
* get hooked on drugs
* smuggling
* betray friends
* malign innocent parties

(some examples of things young delinquent in Singapore might be involved in) or i thought so

and now lets say if we could turn back time. we might be a nice sweet one, study hard and score with flying colours, look down on pple who smoke and do drugs.

sometimes the cycle is ongoing i guess...

im 21 this year, and i own a time machine left down by my great forefathers... finally i figured out how to utilise the functions of going back to the past and editing what i had once down....

i activated the time machine! went back 6 years... and i stood aside watching myself getting into fights with those pple i thought was cool to be seen with... i ran up to me, and dragged me away...i got away from those bad company... and went back to school....

back in school, i saw me sneaking into the toilet for a quick smoke, i followed me in and dumped that stick of normal looking narcotine/tar poison away... and i stopped smoking... in accordance, i studied hard and got gd grades in school that eventually got myself into top schools.

and den i grew up into a fine young lady, 21 this yr... and i succumb to temptations of this cruel society and i did bad things again.

than, i activate the time machine to go back into the past and rectify everything again!

and this cycle goes on and on...

we change the past, did wrong again, go back to our past.

i learnt... in life, we couldn't change the past, so we should live the present and create the future...

what our future will be, is wad we wan it to be.... :)

Hey guys! I m back from my disappearance!!! :)

nah, did not comtemplate MIA-ing or wadsoever u guys thought...
My internet connection died on me!!!

it was a stormy night, and out of nowhere, a lightning struck... and boom! there's goes my connection... spent the last one week trying to fix it. Singtel technician came, was told that my modem is certified dead... and my mum bought a new one, and den. connection wasn't there as well.. finally had it configured.. and here i m!!! :)

called up Singtel technical helpdesk last night, and guess wad. i was damn pissed with the operator that i tot if we are talking face to face, i might just punch him in his face... here's our conversation...

ME: oh ya, it was disconnected as my modem was spoiled and i just bought a new one today, got it connected for a while and it was disconnected again. so can u connect it back for me over at ur end?

Watch these two movies lately : Rouge Crocodile , Shutter.

SHUTTER
initially, i had thought that Shutter (by Japanese director of The Ring & Grudge) would be as good as the one made in Thailand starring Anamda Everingham(or wadever it is), i was so wrong. no doubt, the sound effects and those not-so-horror scenes did scare some wits out of me, but however, this whole movie was a bore, didn't reali enjoy it though as the storyline sucks! and i must be a sucker to spend money and time on it! whatever! 1/5

ROUGE CROCODILE
was great though! watched it over the weekend with Jinny, and its definitely worth a watch. the story revolves around this group of travellers trapped a muddy island infested with a horrible man-eating crocodile.. and the whole movie is practically just abt one night(yes just 1 night) spend trapped with the creature, trying their ways and means to escape being his meal of the day! thrilling & exciting... thumbs up! :) 4/5
